The challenge was to create an ancient warrior character. So here I made a big guy from where I imagined him as a tough war leader of an old Assyrian Empire.

Lately I have been doing several exercises on human anatomy. so when i heard about this challenge  which involves sketching human figure, I instantly jumped in and start making my warrior entry.

I had a lot fun doing this illustration, from rough sketching to defining the value up to the painting in the color, I really dig the experience. So I was really happy when I heard that it won the third place in the challenge.

I will soon be posting tutorials (think I rather should say "how tos" ) here on my site. Dedicated to people who are interested in learning digital painting. I will gladly be sharing some of my  techniques I used to arrive on a drawing similar to the look of this Ancient Devil Warrior.
