Well this picture has a story to tell..I took it the next day after I had this accident using only the built-in camera from my Iphone ( what real crap compare to DSLR of course ) and so I turn to photoshop to edit it automagically. The over all idea of this self portrait is to humor myself while being trapped on this situation, I thought of doing a wolverine like pose but instead of having three sharp adamentium claws, ill have three paint brushes coming out from the plaster cast.. So to start with the story , me and my friend Simon took off to play basketball one Saturday afternoon with some locals..It wasn't even for five minutes of playing when I was about to take the ball away from opposing player, my left hand accidentally hit the guy's elbow and bamm! A crackling sound plus an excruciating pain I realized that my middle finger was then messed-up. I managed to pull it back to position and even ask for my friend to pull it stronger as well. So I went off court and sit for a while to examine the damage, where I discovered that it wasn't the MF at all that had some problem , but instead it was bone that connects the wrist and the finger (somewhere in palm area) that was causing hurt much, anatomy call it middle or third metacarpal. Right after the game we go to the nearest hospital for consultation.. Doctor says I need some X-ray , discovered that it cracked, asked me to have a fixation in plaster cast and some medicines..So that's it, at least everything should be comforting if they haven't told me that I couldn't allow my left hand to do things that will force it and surely it'll hurt more cause that means no basketball, no swimming, no billiards, no playstation, no guitar,.no et all....in short, no I cant do any of my favorite past times for three or four months..It sucks really!.. We then arrived home past midnight, the first thing I do is to open up my laptop.I fire up photo shop, hold the pen with my right hand and started scribbling down in the tablet, while my other robocop left hand really struggle to press tabs simultaneously, I then realize that still I can do most essential task s for my beloved hobby of all..digtal painting...It made me think that this situation would never made me less of a digital artist and not for long it will heal and things will get back to normal for better. |
